Armed Forces Advocate

We are looking for a new Armed Forces Advocate to join our team.
At Aurora new Dawn, our specialist Armed Forces services provides one to one support, group work recovery programmes, and a helpline to any serving member of the Royal Navy, British Army or Royal Air Force who is experiencing domestic abuse, sexual violence or stalking. We also support family members experiencing these issues.
The successful candidate will:
Provide high-quality support to victims (16+) of domestic abuse, sexual violence and/or stalking, working specifically within an armed forces remit.
Work closely with our force’s partners, and within a multi- agency framework, to identify and assess the risks and needs of our clients
Deliver a pro-active, short to medium term crisis intervention service through individual safety planning and personal support
Advocate for our clients with relevant agencies, whilst providing emotional and practical support and information, including in relation to legal options, housing, health and finance.
Hours: 18 per week
Location: Hybrid (TBC*/Home) with occasional travel across the UK. Induction will be at our Head Office in Portsmouth
Salary: £24,454 pro rata (Unaccredited) or £27,000 pro rata (On completion of relevant role-related Accreditation or for current accredited advocates)
